Tired of using Res2Dinv ?
Why not switching to another software, and… FREE !
Andrew Binley provides some excellent programs on his website.
I have created some python scripts for easing the I/O to R2. These scripts will soon be available here, Andrew will also provide our compiled version on his website, so you don’t have to install python (+modules). If you feel like installing it, let me know, I’m always happy to be a python-evangelist !
Hey,
where do i find your Python scripts? Found ProfileR last week and i am thinking of using it at ouf field trips!
Greetings from Germany
Hum, heheh… I think I forgot to put them online… I’m on field trip to La Réunion, but I’ll try to search my computer remotely to send you some package… I just hope Andrew did not change anything in the input files format !
Cheers from the Piton 🙂 (de la Fournaise)
Thank you for your efforts. I hope they will be online soon :-). Have fun on your field trip!
Hi Thomas
would you be able to send me the python files, or point me to a link.
we are starting to use Andy’s code in place of Res2Dinv
I am a new Python convert from the matlab camp
Kevin,
It’s been quite a long time since I wrote these… I’m trying to re-run the ‘test’ case I did… I’ll reply here & add a blog post if I succeed !
All right, it seems to still be working :

I don’t have much time to comment out the code, so let me know if it works on your side !
Zondres2d software for resistivity and IP imaging also supported Andy Binley ProfileR code and has many other instruments for QC, forward modeling and inversion.

Is this code still available?
